I just leaned the pieces up outside on a flattened cardboard box and applied the glaze with basic a 1-inch paint brush while wearing disposable gloves to protect my hands. The glaze is not water based so you will need a paint thinner to clean your brush and any spills. The stool looks nice but it does have a rough texture and slightly uneven finish because I did not want to sand the wood prior to painting; doing so would probably increase the feel and look of the finish. Since it is in a bathroom with a folded towel on top I am not too concerned with perfection in this case.

If I had a garage to escape the wind I would probably of used a spray finish, but I still find a brush less messy. Have fun!m.https://www.blogger.com/profile/02277350126949775417noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8942172724667552202.post-37151261451588599012014-08-09T23:34:39.195+09:002014-08-09T23:34:39.195+09:00Your step stool looks great!
